11 Weeks Paid Program which includes:
Career Exploration and Work Experience for;
- Youth aged between 18 to 30
- Reside in the Ottawa area
- Not in school
- Not currently working
The 11 weeks are broken down as follows:
- Weeks 1 to 4:
- Workplace expectations, employability skills
- Assessment and Career Decision & Planning
- Creating a professional portfolio
- Ready-to-work plan
- Employer panels, workplace tours and job shadowing
- Week 5:
- Launch your Job Search
Once we find an employer together:
- 6 weeks placement with local employer; earning wages while building real workplace experiences
- 1-1 Job Coach
- Receive ongoing support from your Employment Case Manager
- Develop your confidence and workplace skills
- Reflect on what type of work is the best fit for you
