Local 2041 Information Sessions

January 8 - January 22

This information session will cover:

  • an introduction to the Carpenters Union, Local 2041 & the Interior Systems trade
  • The WERC Program and the requirements to apply
  • Open Q&A

Here are the requirements for the WERC Program:

  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugees. The goal of this program is to have all candidates sign Training Agreements and become registered apprentices.
  • Candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 29. (Exceptions have been made in the past for candidates in their early 30s.)
  • All candidates must provide proof of education with a minimum of grade 10. If the candidate completed their education outside of Canada, they must provide an equivalency evaluation. WES or ICAS are two organizations that can provide the required assessment.
  • Experience is not required, as this program is designed to help youth start a career in the Interior Systems trade.
