If you are a young adult from 15-29 living in Ontario, unemployed and not returning to school or looking for assistance in acquiring or polishing the skills you need to be successful in today's workforce, YSB Employment Services offers a full range of services to aid you in achieving your goals.
January 2023 - Registration for the Youth Job Connection program is now open!
Youth Job Connection:
The Youth Connection program offers youth in Ottawa ages 15 to 29 access to paid pre-employment training, job opportunities, and mentorship programs.
Through Youth Job Connection, you get:
- A minimum of 60 hours paid training to prepare you for the workplace
- Access to a network of employment opportunities
- Mentorship, job-coaching and help with the transition from school to work, or to ongoing employment once the program ends

Youth Job Connection Summer:
The next round of registrations for this program will be open from May 1st to May 15th2023.
An application will need to be filled out by the job seeker requesting services and not a parent.
Please ensure to check our website and social media as early as May 1st to ensure you don’t miss the opportunity to apply.

Are you a High School student that is 15 to 18 years old and looking for help in finding employment?
Students in Ottawa from ages 15-18 facing barriers and need support transitioning between school and work can enroll in job opportunities after school through our centers or any service provider offering Youth Job Connection Summer in their community. Students that take this program will also be able to access summer work opportunities by coming to the closest centre offering Youth Job Connection in their community or by contacting us.
Candidates must live in Ottawa, be currently unemployed, not in school, and not enrolled in a training program.
Youth Job Connection Summer
Get a summer job – with paid training – if you’re:
- 15 to 18 years old at time of registration;
- A resident of Ontario;
- Eligible to work in Canada;
- High school students intending to stay in, or return to high school or access post secondary education after the job placement
When summer’s over, you can also get help finding part-time, after-school jobs.
