Zida Academy is looking for a full-time Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. At Zida Academy, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in the overall development of children ages 18 months to 6 years. Qualifications required for this position:

  • Membership in good standing at the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector check completed within 6 months from the start date
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification Level C
  • Updated immunization record
  • Sense of responsibility, planning and organization
  • Ability to work closely with other team members
  • Be enthusiastic, committed and respectful to children, their families and co-workers

In this role you will…

  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of  children.
  • Implement an approach that promotes child-led learning and outdoor play.
  • Develop and implement a stimulating and adapted program that supports the physical, cognitive, language and emotional and social development of children.
  • Meet the unique needs and provide consistent supervision of the children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and families.
  • Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children.
