Chef – Shawarma and Doner Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Shawarma Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing authentic shawarma, marinating meats, and operating vertical rotisseries. They should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and marinate meats (chicken, beef, lamb) using traditional and house recipes.
• Operate and maintain vertical rotisseries to ensure even cooking.
• Slice and serve shawarma with precision, ensuring consistent portion sizes.
• Prepare fresh toppings, sauces, and accompaniments such as garlic sauce, tahini, and pickles.
• Assemble shawarma wraps, plates, and other related dishes following menu specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of ingredients.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle special requests when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Shawarma Chef or in a similar role in Middle Eastern cuisine.
• Knowledge of traditional shawarma preparation, marination, and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Excellent knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely.
• Basic understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary training or certification is an asset.
• Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or takeout setting.
• Ability to handle large volumes of orders efficiently.
