YSB Employment Services, in partnership with Alterna Savings will be hosting an informative and interactive webinar session. In this workshop, you will learn about the benefits of budgeting, how to become loan ready, and the various types of options that are available for small businesses through Alterna’s Community Microfinance Program.

Subject matter experts from Alterna Savings will be presenting fundamental financial and budgeting tips and tools for how small businesses and entrepreneurs can set themselves up for success and business growth.

Samantha Henderson

Sam is a branch manager with Alterna Savings in Ottawa and has been with the organization for over 12 years. Her years of experience include supporting young adults and new Canadians to better understand banking, budgeting and how to build their financial future.  Sam was born and raised in Ottawa and is passionate about giving back to her local community, notably causes and organizations that relate to youth mental health and food insecurity.

Dumo Nyathi

Dumo Nyathi has been with Alterna for the last 3 years. In her role as Credit Officer, she brings her educational and lived experience as a black female immigrant to work with her every day in the Community Impact department to help empower underserved and marginalized communities.
