Youth Job Connection Summer (YJCS)
Are you a High School student that is 15 to 18 years old and looking for help in finding employment?
Students in Ottawa from ages 15-18 facing barriers and need support transitioning between school and work can enroll in job opportunities after school through our centers or any service provider offering Youth Job Connection Summer in their community. Students that take this program will also be able to access summer work opportunities by coming to the closest centre offering Youth Job Connection in their community or by contacting us.
Candidates must live in Ottawa, be currently unemployed, not in school, and not enrolled in a training program.
Youth Job Connection Summer
Get a summer job – with paid training – if you’re:
- 15 to 18 years old at time of registration;
- A resident of Ontario;
- Eligible to work in Canada;
- High school students intending to stay in, or return to high school or access post secondary education after the job placement
When summer’s over, you can also get help finding part-time, after-school jobs.
